INTO ADVENTURE - Mihee Aiton

Have you been to Exotic garden tour where is hidden from outside. From outside it looks like having normal eco-friendly cafe and some little terrace with park area where people can enjoy the view.

However, when you start to join into foot path of the park area you would realise that a huge jungle is underneath of the park. The foot path is connected to the jungle with a lot of pretty trees with bright coloured flowers. You would be surrounded by all those beautiful trees on the way. If you go more, there are more wild huge tropical trees as much as you will start to concern a bit even you are very enjoying seeing amazing all sort of ridiculous trees and plants, flowers, even some little animals and butterflies.

After that the foot path is connected to a place having beautiful scenery like Monet's picture with white bridge where you would want to take picture of yourself. There would be little ponds, grass, flowers in the field, and benches. And at the end of the foot path after quite a long walk, the path finishes with the blue sea facing Atlantic Ocean. In front of the sea, there is an ice cream shop with selling also some drinks and teas.

Now, it's time to eat ice cream. Or maybe sparkly cocktail or beer?

What would happen if I shoot my music to the universe outside of this globe, and make it hovers with stars together?

Albert Einstein said space and time is not a separated thing, and space-time is curved. Physics rule what's familiar for humans-scale is Newton's. However that's not a meaning that Newton's rule is the truth for everything. In atomic level Newton's rule doesn't work. Newton's rule covers only human-scale of Physics, however nature that we are surrounded is beyond human- scale. We are enjoying the lights from the stars from universe which is beyond our comprehendible global-scale.

Music rule is same. To describe something beyond what we are used to, we need new types of music scale and theory, even new concept of rhythm that's not just fitted in square grids.

A lot of fights and wars are on this globe in this modern era.

Ukraine never chose to be under war. It was sudden attack from one side. We all nations need to find a way to make Ukraine free from war as they never wanted war, we need to protect Ukraine from the side who breaks peace.

It's time to stop hurting the people and nations near us.
Whatever the political or theological reasons, those can't
justify anything of hurting and killing people.

Through history we know how horrible the holocaust was for Jews,
how horrible Japanese human right violations to Koreans were. Also Europe remember how things were when their nations were attacked by World Wars. Many of their family and children were in danger, and some people were really traumatised. No one wants danger for their family and children and such experiences. Therefore, all nations need to be compassionate to Ukraine and find a way to rescue them from the side who broke peace. If we want peace, we are side to Ukraine. We can't say that we want peace with being side to who broke peace, and not being side to who wants peace.

It's time to remember how horrible things were when our nations were under pain and sufferings.
and not to do same things to other nations for ourselves first.

The process of making album
"Ancient and Future"

Experimental album of mixing 29 notes Microtonal scale with normal 12 notes scale.

This Album is experimental album with using 29 Microtonal Scale calculated and produced by Mihee Aiton-Kim in 2024. She used the most ancient integer ratios of 1:2 and 2:3 to make musical scale. So far, the oldest documents for this mathematic idea to make musical scale is Mesopotamian Cuneiform document (1800 BC at least) and in the east through ancient China this method is known as 'sanfen sunyi' (三分損益), and in the west through ancient Greece this method is known as Pythagorean scale. Mihee Aiton-Kim applied this ancient mathematic method to make more delicate scale having 29 notes between octaves with only using the ancient integer ratio of 1:2 and 2:3. And this calculation process is written in Mihee Aiton-Kim's B.A. Music Dissertation.

이 앨범은 미희 에이튼(김미희)이 2024년에 계산하고 컴퓨터 프로그램을 통해 만든 29 마이크로토날 음계의 마이크로톤 음들을 혼합시킨 실험적인 앨범이다. 가장 고대로 부터 사용한 간단한 정수 비 1:2 와 2:3을 사용하여 음계를 만들었는데, 이 방법으로 만든 음계에 대한 가장 오래된 고고학적 증거는 최소 기원전 1800년 경에 쓰인 메소포타미아 쐐기 문서 이다. 동양권 에서는 이 방법이 고대 중국을 통하여 삼분손익법 이라고 알려져 있고, 우리나라의 옛 문서 악학궤범에도 이에 대하여 언급이 되어 있다. 서양권 에서는 이 방법이 고대 그리스를 통하여 피타고라스 음계로 알려져 있다. 고대 중국과 고대 그리스는 비슷한 시기에 이방법론에 에 대하여 기록하기 시작하였는데, 메소포타미아 문서 보다 약 1500년 정도 나중에 기록이 시작 되었다. 미희 에이튼(김미희)은 음계를 만들기 위해 가장 고대적 부터 사용한 가장 간단한 정수 비 1:2 와 2:3 만을 사용하여 보다 더 세밀한 음계는 29 마이크로토날 스케일을 계산하여 만들었다. 그 계산 과정은 미희 에이튼 (김 미희)의 음악 학사 졸업논문에 기재 되어 있다.
